We are seeking a skilled .NET Developer for a 6-month contract position based in Lisle, Illinois. You will contribute to the Commercial Sales Experience (CSE) product initiative, working across the full software development lifecycle in an Agile environment. This role offers the opportunity to enhance existing web applications, ensure long-term application performance, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities- Develop and enhance web applications using ASP.NET, .NET Core, and C# (and/or ) in Visual Studio IDE
- Build Web APIs in .NET Core
- Write extensive unit tests and Web API tests
- Modernize legacy ASP.NET Web Forms applications to .NET Core and React
- Apply security, performance, and scalability considerations throughout development
- Work with HTML, XML, CSS, JSON, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures
- Integrate SOAP and REST services
- Perform code refactoring and apply design patterns
- Utilize Git Flow branching strategy and manage deployments
- Support CI/CD pipelines and Azure deployments
- Collaborate with team members and work independently as needed
- Required
- Minimum 5+ years of development experience with ASP.NET / .NET Core using C# (and/or ) in Visual Studio IDE
- Minimum 3+ years of development experience with ReactJS
- Experience developing Web APIs in .NET Core
- Experience writing extensive unit tests and Web API testing
- Strong understanding of HTML, XML, CSS, JSON, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Expert-level knowledge of SQL, including complex queries and stored procedures
- Experience with SOAP and REST services
- Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
- Understanding of SOLID design principles
- Experience with code refactoring and design patterns
- Understanding of the Git Flow branching strategy and deployments
- Familiarity with TFS and GIT
- Familiarity with ADO or JIRA
- Understanding of technical best practices to support an Agile environment
- Preferred
- Familiarity with deploying to Kubernetes clusters
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Azure
- Familiarity with Telerik
