- Operate and maintain production machinery and equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring efficient and safe production of high-quality products following established standards and procedures.
- Record data and recognize via SPC analysis whether a process is in or out of control.
- Set up and adjust equipment settings to meet production specifications and quality standards, including navigating HMI interface screens for automated equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks of WIP and final products.
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions or operational issues collaboratively with Maintenance, Process, and Control Engineers.
- Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and minor repairs.
- Accurately record production data, maintenance logs, and other relevant information.
- Follow work instructions and control plans, adhering to safety policies.
- Suggest and participate in process improvements and efficiency enhancements.
- Participate in training to improve skills and knowledge of equipment and safety procedures.
- Monitor trends in reliability and yield.
- Assist with changeovers and verify compliance to product specifications using measurement tools.
- Learn to operate multiple machine types in a high-velocity environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training beneficial.
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience required.
- Experience reading blueprints and maintaining product standards.
- Attention to detail, especially in final inspections.
- Proven experience as a production operator or similar role.
- Strong mechanical and technical skills, with troubleshooting ability.
- Experience with HMI operation;
Ignition platform experience a plus. - Willingness to work shifts and adapt to schedules.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 50 lbs.), and perform manual tasks.
- Effective communication skills.
- Glass manufacturing experience and forklift proficiency are advantages.
- Plant floor with PPE required.
- Fast-paced environment with machinery, chemicals, and temperature variations.
- Frequent communication and overtime as needed.
- Stand and walk for 8-12 hours per shift.
- Lifting objects up to 50 lbs. or more with assistance.
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Manual dexterity for operating machinery and assembling products.
- Occasional climbing and working in varying temperatures and conditions.
- Maintain high energy and stamina to meet production targets.
