The 3D Modeler & Detailer is responsible for developing accurate architectural submittal drawings and fabrication details using Revit. This position plays a key role in translating architectural intent into buildable, production‑ready models and drawings for Peachtree’s custom aluminum canopy, walkway cover, and sunshade systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Revit and a working knowledge of fabrication practices, enabling them to create clear, constructible models that support both project approvals and internal production.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Develop 3D Revit models of Peachtree’s aluminum systems based on architectural plans, specifications, and project requirements.
- Produce clean, professional architectural submittal drawings for review and approval by design teams and general contractors.
- Generate fabrication‑ready details, including component sections, cut lists, and material specifications derived from the Revit model.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Estimators, and the BIM Coordinator to align design outputs with project scope, production methods, and field conditions.
- Apply knowledge of extrusion profiles, fastening methods, and installation sequences to ensure designs are buildable and align with company standards.
- Manage drawing revisions based on feedback from customers, internal teams, or site conditions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Revit templates, detail libraries, and modeling workflows.
- Participate in internal reviews to ensure drawing quality, completeness, and consistency.
- 2–5 years of experience in architectural drafting, modeling, or fabrication detailing.
- Experience working with aluminum or other custom‑fabricated building products is preferred.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit with a minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience in a professional setting.
- Working knowledge of architectural construction documents, detailing practices, and fabrication principles.
- Experience producing submittals and/or shop drawings in the architectural metals or specialty construction industry is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with aluminum systems or Peachtree’s product line is a plus.
Peachtree Protective Covers is located in a 150,000 square feet headquarters in Lithia Springs, GA. Our headquarters allows for the collocation of our walkway cover/canopy, sunscreen/visual screen and metal wall panel production lines. We have taken advantage of the increased work area by adding walkway cover and sunscreen/visual screen production lines and by expanding our metal wall panel production capacity with the addition of another AXYZ CNC Router.
