Hardware Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Data Center Hardware Technician to join our team. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing physical server hardware within a large-scale data center environment. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with server break/fix, troubleshooting hardware components, and ensuring optimal performance of critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of server hardware, including motherboards, CPUs, memory, storage devices, and power supplies.
- Execute break/fix tasks for servers and related hardware in a high‑availability environment.
- Install, configure, and replace hardware components as needed to maintain uptime and performance.
- Document all repairs, replacements, and maintenance activities accurately in ticketing systems.
- Collaborate with network and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and minimal downtime during repairs.
- Follow strict safety and compliance protocols when handling equipment and working in data center facilities.
- Strong knowledge of server hardware architecture and components.
- Experience with break/fix troubleshooting for enterprise‑level servers.
- Familiarity with data center operations, including rack/stack and cabling.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret error codes for hardware failures.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Physical ability to lift and install hardware components as required.
This is a Contract position based out of Lithia Springs, GA.
Pay & BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.26 - $28.26/hr.
