• Champion Safety
  . Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards. Follow established traffic patterns, avoid hazardous conditions, and immediately report unsafe ones.
• Operate Mobile Equipment Loaders
  . Load aggregates for processing, feed the plant, and safely load customers’ trucks with desired specification product within legal load limits. Use a loader to strip and prep the mining site and move material closer to the feeder for processing.
• Monitor Materials
  . Maintain an adequate feed of materials and stockpiles. Visually inspect materials for compliance with specifications.
• Perform Inspections and Maintenance
  . Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and accurately complete daily mobile equipment reports. Observe the plant and report any maintenance or adjustments needed. Maintain yard and plant areas and participate in maintenance, repair, and housekeeping activities.
• Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings
  . Monitor the plant and operations and report any maintenance or adjustments required to ensure safety.

• Experience
  . 2 years experience operating loaders and dozers in a plant environment preferred.
• Functional and Safety Knowledge
  . Knowledge of equipment capabilities and finished materials specifications; ability to recognize products by sight; understanding of OSHA and MSHA rules; hazard recognition skills.
• Flexibility
  . Ability to work overtime and extended hours as needed; work outside in all weather conditions; tolerate loud noises.
• Ready to Drive
  . Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  . Good communication and ability to work in a team; respond to inquiries promptly and follow through to address issues.
