As a Software Development Engineer III at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in solving complex problems related to distributed systems, security, concurrency, scalability, availability, durability, and performance engineering. Working alongside top technical talent and utilizing a pure AWS infrastructure, you will translate user needs, help define the roadmap, design, develop, deploy and test end‑to‑end solutions. Your presence strengthens the team, as you regularly contribute to the professional growth of your colleagues.

With an understanding of how technical choices impact the business, you guide technology decisions to create amazing customer experiences. Collaborating closely with organizational leaders, you ensure your solutions align with broader objectives.

Successful Software Engineer candidates have a solid background in modern programming languages, distributed system design, service‑oriented architecture, and highly scalable/resilient applications. Experience in big data and machine learning is a plus. Equally important is the ability to multi‑task, invent, create reliable and maintainable code, and find creative, scalable solutions to difficult problems.
