Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Tech to join our healthcare team at Med Cura Health. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. This position involves travel between clinic locations.

Salary$19.00 - $25.00 / hour

Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited program of Certified Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or Hospital Specialist AND one year experience in the medical field or completion of an approved internship program OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current CPR certification (BCLS by AHA).
  • Knowledge of medical procedures, which relates to patient education and health practice.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in patient intake which includes gathering patient information such as vitals, patient history, etc.
  • Sterilize medical equipment and maintain it in good working order.
  • Guide patients to the front desk upon completion of their visit to ensure a smooth checkout process.
  • Safely escort patients to the laboratory for diagnostic testing or specimen collection.
  • Prepare examination rooms before patient visits, ensuring they are clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary medical supplies.
  • Sanitize and tidy examination rooms between patient visits to uphold infection control standards and clinic cleanliness.
  • Support clinical staff during specimen collection, including blood draws, urine samples, or other diagnostic procedures, while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
  • Notify patients of any delays in their scheduled appointments and provide updates to maintain transparency and patient satisfaction.
  • Accurately measure and document patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate, prior to provider evaluation.
  • Call patients from the waiting area and escort them to the appropriate exam room, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience.
