Head Baseball Coach, Miller Grove High School

Miller Grove High School is seeking a motivated Baseball Head Coach who has a passion for working with high‑school students. The ideal candidate should have excellent instructional delivery skills and the ability to communicate with various stakeholders. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Principal and the Athletic Director, leading the baseball program for the 2025‑2026 school year.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive baseball program, including lesson plans, play strategies, and conditioning schedules.
• Coach and mentor athletes, fostering skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, and school administrators to promote program goals and student progress.
• Assist the Athletic Director with scheduling, transportation, equipment inventory, and compliance with state and league regulations.
• Maintain and preserve athletic equipment, locker rooms, and playing facilities.
• Prepare and submit required documentation: physical examinations, parental consent, eligibility forms, and injury reports.
• Coordinate and lead staff meetings, clinics, and training sessions for assistant coaches.
• Serve as a student‑athlete role model, emphasizing academic performance, character, and responsibility.
• Promote baseball through public relations efforts, including preseason meetings, media outreach, and community programs.
• Manage program budgeting, equipment orders, and maintenance schedules.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience and knowledge coaching baseball (or other major sports) preferred.
• Strong organizational and supervisory skills for a total sports program.
• Substantial knowledge of baseball technical aspects and the ability to apply new theories and procedures.
• Effective role model for student athletes through instruction, actions, and guidance.

• Georgia High School Association Lay Coaching Certificate required.
• Valid first‑aid certificate required.
