Accounts Payable Specialist

Lancaster, PA area (Onsite, Semi-Hybrid)

Our client, a well-established leader in employee benefits and insurance administration, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their close-knit AP/AR team. In this role, you'll be responsible for processing claims-related carrier invoices and ensuring accurate, timely payments on behalf of client groups. It's an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an experienced AP professional looking to work in a collaborative environment, with exposure to multiple departments and occasional coordination with the stop-loss team to resolve payment inquiries.

• Review and process incoming carrier invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Apply automated payment data, pull related reports, and verify accuracy prior to releasing payments.
• Ensure proper coding and documentation of all payables in Net Suite.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with internal teams (including AR and stop-loss) to address payment-related inquiries.
• Maintain organized, up-to-date AP records.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field OR 1-2 years of accounts payable experience.
• Proficiency with Excel (basic to intermediate; comfortable working in pivot tables and using VLOOKUPs).
• Experience with Net Suite is a plus, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a small, collaborative team.
