CompensationThe salary range for this position is $51, yearly. Compensation beyond this range may be considered, depending on specific experience.

- The dynamic nature of the live events industry requires flexibility to work overtime, including early mornings, evenings and weekends, as dictated by project schedules and client needs.
- Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Monitor and communicate any supply problems which may impact project(s) and/or business operations.
- Act as an interface between suppliers and other departments on purchasing processes.
- Track purchases to ensure they are on schedule to meet project timeline(s).
- Proactively communicate with internal departments regarding status.
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures.
- Conduct research for new materials and suppliers.
- Review and resolve any supplier issues regarding price, quality, delivery, and/or invoice issues.
- Develop relationships with suppliers to ensure best service and price.
The Buyer reports to the Director of Supply Chain, and works closely with Finance and departments throughout the company as a shared service. In particular, Project Management and Account Management.

- Ability to work within a budget.
- Experience working closely with suppliers.
- Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to work with many personality types.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable in a fast paced, deadline-driven, high-energy environment.
- Proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
- 3+ years’ experience with purchasing, negotiation, and project/material buying, preferably in manufacturing environment.
Ability to perform typical office tasks using a computer and phone in a typical office environment.
- Typical office environment for the majority of the time with occasional time in a warehouse environment.
