Summary:
- Position Summary:
Athletic Trainers (ATs) work under the supervision of a physician to provide injury prevention, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate and emergency care, treatment and rehabilitation, while demonstrating professional and organizational skills to promote the health and well-being to the patients they serve. - Physician Relations - Ensures staff appropriately interact with physicians. As appropriate, seeks physician input on necessary clinical matters.
- Will help identify opportunities, build relationships with, and help secure additional secondary school, college, youth program, and or event contracts.
- Review quality and appropriateness of services delivered for effectiveness and efficiency using predetermined quality assurance criteria.
- Act as liaison between customers, patients, support staff and or physicians.
- Responsible for wound care and wound dressing.
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable, orderly and safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Minimum Required Qualifications:
One year of experience in traditional setting. - Clinical experience in outpatient office.
- ATTENTION CONCENTRATION - The position requires the ability to attend to more than one aspect of a situation simultaneously.
- NEW LEARNING AND MEMORY - A large portion of this position requires reliance on verbal memory and new learning.
- PROBLEM SOLVING, REASONING AND CREATIVE THINKING - The position requires much autonomy of thought and problem solving.
Credentials:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
- Cert Athletic Trainer License
- Cert Athletic Trainer (Required)
Education or Equivalent
Experience:
- Vocational/Trade Diploma (Required)
