What You Will DoThe Capital Equipment Engineer provides technical support for packaging equipment. Responsibilities include specification, development, implementation, and assurance of asset‑qualified state for packaging equipment and equipment capital projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead equipment installation, qualification, validation, and startup for assigned projects.
- Plan and execute equipment and validation strategies aligned to consumer asset management.
- Provide engineering solutions, technical advice, and support to Packaging and other departments.
- Serve as an area owner for long‑range financial planning and integration with 5‑year asset replacement plans.
- Lead multiple major equipment and validation projects, deliver risk mitigation strategies, and meet project commitments.
- Drive documentation for equipment qualification and validation, ensuring cross‑functional alignment and approval.
- Maintain high levels of Operational Equipment Efficiency (OEE) through design, implementation and continuous improvement.
- Support life‑cycle management initiatives with design requirements, risk assessments, test plans, and test results analysis.
- Accountable for assigned project capital plan, expenditures, cashflow forecast and scope management.
- Utilize project management tools (timelines, risk logs, issue logs, change logs, stabilisation plans).
- Understand and improve processes and equipment technologies across sites.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing with strong verbal, written and technical writing skills.
- Experience with equipment qualification and computer system validation.
- Knowledge of GMPs, ICH, and CFR regulations.
- Understanding of installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of solid oral dose production and packaging equipment.
- Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Advanced degree preferred.
Annual base salary: $86,700 – $122,400 (dependent on location, skill, experience and qualifications).
