Position Responsibilities- Test electronic units using standard test equipment, analyze results, and determine performance adjustments.
- Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and decide what type of maintenance is needed.
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions to assemble electronic units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working independently or with engineers.
- Use advanced problem‑solving skills to address complex issues and implement solutions.
- Maintain system logs and manuals documenting testing and operation of equipment.
- Assemble, test, and maintain test equipment or electronic systems according to engineering instructions.
- Maintain inventory of test equipment, related documentation, and equipment locations.
- Keep up‑to‑date knowledge of test equipment, tools, and software through workshops or other training.
- Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure machines, environmental chambers, and electronic equipment operate correctly.
- Determine the tools and equipment required for each job.
- Troubleshoot failures to component level.
- May act as lead technician on complex projects.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the vision, mission, and values of the organization.
- Knowledgeable in electronics and computer equipment, testing, processing, and troubleshooting circuit components.
- Understanding of incoming test requirements, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques to maximize testing effectiveness.
- Proficient with a wide variety of hand tools, measuring devices, lab standards, and test equipment.
- Advanced ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, drawings, and wire diagrams.
- Ability to operate test systems, test equipment, and computer systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Windows.
- Proficient with test software and platforms.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Capable of multi‑tasking and handling constant changes in priorities.
- Advanced computer skills required.
- Associate's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent military training.
- 10+ years of related work experience including testing and troubleshooting complex electronic assemblies.
- Advanced knowledge of RF, digital, and analog electronics.
- Demonstrated ability to operate test systems, test equipment, computer systems, and troubleshoot.
- Demonstrated ability utilizing test software and platforms.
- Ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, measuring devices, lab standards, and test equipment.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
- Production environment requiring physical capability to work up to 9 hours a day: sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- 9/80 work schedule.
