Resident Engagement Coordinator – Part‑time
Join United Zion Retirement Community to provide caring, person‑centered support to older adults in our Personal Care and Skilled Nursing settings. The Engagement Coordinator creates a vibrant and engaging environment for residents through life enrichment programs while supporting medication administration and personal care needs. The role ensures residents experience meaningful activities that promote independence and well‑being, while maintaining safety, compliance, and person‑centered care.
Responsibilities• Design, plan, and implement a variety of life enrichment activities that meet residents’ interests and abilities.
• Coordinate and facilitate activities such as arts and crafts, music, exercise, volunteer, travel, and support groups.
• Assist residents in personal care and medication administration as needed.
• Document activity participation and resident progress in the Point Click Care (or ICON) system.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, HIPAA, and resident rights regulations.
• Work weekend and holiday rotations as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in life enrichment or therapeutic recreation preferred.
- Valid PA driver’s license to operate company vehicles.
- Medical Technician certification required, willing to train.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Minimum three years of experience in senior living or related field; long‑term care experience preferred.
- Ability to complete DHS Direct Care Certification and maintain compliance with state regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills, creativity, and ability to engage residents in meaningful activities.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook; accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of Point Click Care preferred; willingness to learn ICON.
- Physical ability to assist residents and use assistive devices (wheelchairs, lifts, gait belt).
- Must be at least 18 years of age and proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Part‑time (4 days per week; 9:00 am – 5:30 pm shift; weekend and holiday rotation).
