Professional Staff Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Full-Time, Nights)

UPMC Lititz is seeking an experienced Professional Staff Nurse to join our Labor & Delivery team full-time on the night shift (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.). Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Professional Staff Nurse.
  • BSN required; a Master’s degree in nursing or DNP qualifies as an alternate for certification.
  • Annual completion of a professional contribution selected from department, hospital, or system; approval by Unit Director.
  • UPMC approved nursing certification required within 1 year of hire/transfer and must be maintained (unless Master’s or DNP held).
  • Must maintain a solid/strong/good or higher rating on annual performance evaluation to retain status.
  • Demonstrated clinical judgment, critical thinking, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting and positioning of patients; mobility and visual manual dexterity.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non‑physician providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required within 30 days of hire.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement.
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal.
  • Act 33 with renewal.
  • Act 34 with renewal.
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal.
  • Current multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) license if facility under NLC agreement.
