Overview
Prince Telecom is seeking multiple entry level Fiber Optic Installation Technicians in the Reading, PA area to help us connect America. We provide paid training, a company vehicle, full benefits, and more.
Pay: $16 - $22/hr+ | Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities- Install, troubleshoot and repair fiber optic systems.
- Set up and configure residential networking equipment such as ONTs, routers, and switches.
- Analyze and record test results by performing tests on company issued and customer devices.
- Interface with customers to identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
- Complete paperwork accurately, and report/record all work order status updates.
- Customer service duties such as:
- Greet and interact with customers in a professional, courteous manner including when responding to escalations and repeated customer concerns.
- Review all requested services with the customer to ensure understanding and agreement.
- Educate the customer regarding product and service usage.
- Minimum 18 years old
- Valid driver's license (Required)
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Comfortable working outdoors
- Comfortable working in tight spaces (crawl spaces, attics, etc.)
- Comfortable working through inclement weather
- Experience with small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment
- Comfortable with the demands of working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Effective communication skills
- Able to travel locally (with company vehicle) and work extended hours; overtime and weekends as needed
- Able to lift, climb, and carry ladders
