Overview
General Duties:
Performs and assists with tasks related to sewer, water, street, storm sewer, and parks maintenance. Individual will be trained in all aspects of public works with a goal of developing an employee that would be qualified to fill a Public Works Maintenance Worker I position.
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to safely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds, walk and stand for long periods of time, and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse conditions.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing; understand and follow written and oral instructions; take initiative and carry out tasks independently.
- Driving record, criminal background, drug & alcohol testing and reference checks will be conducted prior to hire.
