Quality Lab Technician M-F 8 hours, 2nd Shift - Starting at $23.81/hr
Bel Brands USA, Little Chute, WI, offers this hourly position for Monday through Friday, 2nd shift (2 pm‑11 pm). This role supports quality and lab processes, assisting with product inspection, analysis, reagent preparation, sample collection, and safety compliance.
Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the technician will perform basic analytical, microbiological and organoleptic quality control tests, maintain sample inventory, assist in research and development functions, and support warehouse operations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Perform daily checks and verifications of weights, scales, code labels, allergens, finished products and sanitizing chemicals.
- Conduct product inspections for packaging integrity, coding and labeling.
- Execute organoleptic analysis of product “in process.”
- Calibrate instruments and equipment such as pH meters, thermometers, and temperature recording devices.
- Prepare reagents, media and analytical materials.
- Summarize and report test results; enter data into Quartz and SAP.
- Assist with sampling, inventory management and safety procedures.
- Support R&D activities including shipping samples, raw materials and documentation.
- Participate in round‑robin testing and maintain sterile sampling techniques.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures and ensure safety of others.
- Follow all environmental protocols applicable to the job.
- Observe Good Manufacturing Practices and food‑safety procedures.
- Maintain a sanitary work area; perform housekeeping duties as required.
- Report hazardous conditions and correct them as needed.
- 6 months of lab or quality experience preferred.
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Strong data entry skills.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication in English.
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office and Microbiology Lab System database.
- Basic math skills.
- Equipment troubleshooting capability.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to perform tasks efficiently with a sense of urgency.

Standing/walking 20‑50 minutes per hour; 6+ hours daily. Forklift operation 1‑3 hours daily. Repetitive hand motion—simple grasping 10 %, fine manipulation 5 %, pushing/pulling 10 %.
Environmental conditions:
hot, cold, wet, dusty, noisy. Lifting up to 10 lb occasionally.
