Position Overview

The People Experience Specialist is a key contributor to building a positive and engaging workplace culture. This role collaborates with leadership and HR to design and deliver impactful events, initiatives, and communications that enhance employee engagement and retention. Acting as the day-to-day owner of event planning and execution, the specialist ensures seamless coordination, clear communication, and strong visibility across the organization.

With a focus on creativity, organization, and collaboration, this position plays a vital role in fostering connection, recognition, and alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities Engagement Events
  • Collaborate with leadership to align objectives, then take ownership of planning, coordinating, and executing in-person and virtual events (e.g., appreciation days, company food days, recognition events, on-site and off-site activities).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact during events, managing setup, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all activities run according to plan.
  • Manage all logistics, including venues, vendors, materials, tech setup, and transportation of event supplies.
  • Represent the organization professionally and positively during all events.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and service providers to secure favorable terms and maintain high‑quality partnerships.
Internal Communications
  • Develop and share communications that enhance employee experience and engagement.
  • Manage communication tools such as SharePoint, newsletters, communication boards, and email updates to keep employees informed about engagement programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with company culture.
Project Management
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Employee Training & Development on strategic planning while owning day-to-day execution of engagement projects.
  • Maintain an events and communication calendar for a consistent and targeted approach.
  • Gather employee feedback and use insights to shape future engagement strategies.
  • Act as a visible ambassador for company culture across all locations.
Employee Experience & Facility Support
  • Help ensure shared spaces and facilities are well‑maintained and presentable.
  • Support stocking and ordering of supplies for common areas to enhance employee experience.
  • Assist with small facility‑related tasks that contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in event planning, employee engagement, or internal communications.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities independently.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to engage stakeholders and ensure visibility of initiatives.
