Overview
Development/Community Relations Director role for the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, Minnesota. The director provides leadership and executive direction for development, public relations, and marketing of the Congregation, integrating development, communications, and grant-writing within the Community Relations/Development (CRD) department as it works within the FSLF structure and the Church and civic communities served.

Who are the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, MN?We are a Roman Catholic congregation of 72 women religious of the Third Order of St. Francis of Assisi. We are in relationship with Associates, an intergenerational group sharing the Gospel life modeled by Francis and Clare of Assisi. - Would enjoy ministering in a mission-focused community of women religious and our employees.
- Would be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive development program to secure the financial resources required to support the mission and ministries of the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls.
- Is creative and organized in overseeing the publication of internal communications and the Our Journey magazine.
- Is capable of managing and prioritizing multiple simultaneous projects and tasks.
- Is curious to learn Franciscan values and motivated to put them into practice.

Description of Role
The director values and communicates the mission, vision, and strategic directions of the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, Minnesota, with its internal and external constituents. The director provides leadership and executive direction for the development, public relations, and marketing of the Congregation, integrating development, communications, and grant-writing within the CRD department as it works within the FSLF structure and the Church and civic communities served.
Overviewof Responsibilities
- Know and demonstrate the Franciscan Values: respect, open communication, hospitality, and compassion in all job functions; demonstrate these values with sisters, staff, volunteers, donors, visitors, and the public.
- Uphold and fulfill the mission and philosophy of the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls in all communications and public relations, whether written, spoken, or observed.
- Create and implement a comprehensive development program to secure the resources needed to support the mission and ministries.
- Be proficient in Donor Perfect with ability to receive and enter donation data, generate thank you letters, and financial reports.
- Manage annual and ongoing donor activities (Memorial Appeal, Christmas Appeal, Donor Day, Give to the Max, food fundraisers, special events, major appeals) in consultation with the COO.
- Oversee internal communications publications, including Community News, and publish Our Journey magazine in collaboration with the editor and graphic designer; contribute as writer/editor/proofreader.
- Oversee management of the FSLF websites and social media in coordination with staff and outside vendors.
- Supervise CRD staff to ensure a respectful and efficient work environment.
- Consult with the COO to set Community Relations goals aligned with development and communications needs; report monthly on CRD activities to the COO and Leadership Council.
