Job Overview

Deon Design Custom Builders is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily operations in our office. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable managing communications, assisting with payroll, assisting with permit and billing documentation, and performing light accounting duties. Check mail and email daily; route, respond, or elevate as appropriate

Communicate with field staff and coordinate necessary updates or documentation

Assist with processing payroll

Enter and manage basic financial data using Quick Books

Complete permit applications and compile billing documentation

Maintain digital and paper records in an organized manner

Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for daily correspondence and task tracking

Support basic office operations as needed

Qualifications

2+ years administrative or office assistant experience (construction industry a plus)

Proficient in Quick Books and Microsoft Office Suite

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and reliably with minimal supervision

Attention to detail and consistency in daily workflows

Knowledge of construction permitting and billing processes is a plus

Must be based in or near Little Ferry, NJ

Weekly pay

Flexible, consistent part-time schedule

Schedule

Part-Time: 4 hours/day, 5 days/week (20 hours total)

Consistent daily hours required, between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (schedule set at hire)
