Manages and supervises the organization's payroll department. Ensures the payroll department, as well as the system's managers and timekeepers, are prepared for accurate and timely payroll processing. Compiles payroll data to maintain precise payroll records. Assists with the processing and analysis of the organization's bi-weekly payroll. Oversees employee expenses, reconciles general ledger accounts, generates ongoing month-end, quarterly, and year-end reporting, and performs other assigned duties.
Audits payroll information for accuracy. Reconciles payroll deposits, tax with holdings, wage garnishments, and voluntary deductions. Participates in problem-solving and special projects within the Payroll Department.
Other information:
Bachelor's Degree preferred or 4 years of payroll experience processing all levels of payroll. Knowledge in designing and producing of comprehensive computerized data queries, reports and computer data processing principles. Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality and the ability to effectively organize, coordinate, and complete a wide range of concurrent activities. Attention to detail and ability to prioritize are highly important.
