Children's Program Substitute

This is an on-call substitute position in our early childhood education and out-of-school time programs. You will be responsible for providing love and quality care for the children and youth throughout the day to meet their emotional and physical needs.

• Follow daily schedules and implement lesson plans, indoor and outdoor activities, to meet children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs.
• Supervise children at all times across various settings, including classrooms, playgrounds, and field trips.
• Interact physically and verbally with children and youth throughout the day.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with children and youth.
• Assist with personal hygiene and classroom cleanup.
• Serve meals and snacks to children and youth.
• Understand and follow state licensing requirements and Our House policies.
• Utilize Conscious Discipline and SPARK curriculum.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure safety and well-being.
• Attend trainings and perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 6 months experience working with children.
• Flexibility to work scheduled shifts on short notice.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse staff, parents, and community members.
• At least 18 years old, with a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass background checks, maltreatment registry checks, sex offender registry checks, and a drug screen.
• Complete at least 30 hours of professional development annually.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
