This position involves physical labor on highway and heavy construction projects. Responsibilities include operating hand and power tools, site cleaning and preparation, trench digging, setting supports for excavations, erecting scaffolding, debris removal, and assisting other craft workers. It is a safety-sensitive role.

• Perform strenuous manual labor tasks in heavy/highway construction, including surface preparation for paving.
• Shovel asphalt into construction areas and assist in patching with hot and cold mixes.
• Excavate and fill trenches and ditches.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site, including tool and equipment management.
• Handle and store materials, load/unload trucks, and operate heavy equipment under supervision.
• Drive a company vehicle if required.
• Follow safety and incident reporting procedures, reporting issues to supervisors.

The role involves exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and outdoor conditions, including inclement weather, heat, and dust. Physically, it requires lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, manual dexterity, and stamina.

This is a full-time role, working Monday through Saturday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with potential for long hours and weekend work. Travel is mainly local, with some out-of-area travel possible.
