Welder​/Maintenance Technician

Redstone Construction Group is currently accepting applications for a Millwright wanting to advance their construction career. The ideal candidate will be able perform various roles, including fabrication, welding, cutting, greasing, housekeeping and various other shop or processing duties. The applicant should possess the skills and knowledge to take a leading role in improving efficiency and productivity.

This is a safety sensitive position. Must be able to work nights.

• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repair or transportation.
• Possess knowledge of crushing, screening, material handling equipment and all related major systems to troubleshoot or anticipate system problems.
• Build the foundation for machines.
• Construct and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors and tram rails.
• Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.
• Transfer equipment to the applicable site for maintenance to avoid contamination or safety hazards.
• Work with a range of hand tools including measuring tools, welding and brazing equipment.
• Determine which machines, techniques, and tools to use when moving equipment and completing jobs.
• Visit various construction sites.

• 5+ years of experience, training, and/or education.
• Must be able to weld and have strong maintenance-mechanical aptitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent mathematical skills.
  
  Must be able to work well in a team environment.
• In-depth knowledge of construction equipment and machinery.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test. Pursuant to the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to Redstone Construction Group standards & processes.

• Work environment is consistent of an office and facility with construction equipment inventory and repair/service shop and may also include construction job site.
• Noise levels can be loud.
• Safety training required; PPE required outside of office/parking lot area.
• PPE must comply with site specific requirements.
• Occasional lifting may be required up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stooping.
