Your impactWe are seeking an experienced Sr Project Controls Professional to support an ongoing site‑based assignment in Spartanburg, SC or Baton Rouge, LA, with future projects also requiring on‑site presence across the U.S. This senior‑level role is ideal for a detail‑oriented and collaborative professional with a strong background in cost control and construction progress tracking. You will work as part of a dedicated project controls team, collaborating closely with construction teams and vendors to ensure accurate cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

- Lead the setup, monitoring, and forecasting of project cost and progress metrics.
- Manage all cost control elements, including
- Budget development and updates
- Scope change tracking
- Expenditure and forecast reporting
- Maintain accurate data in cost control systems and tools.
- Analyze revenue and cost performance and recommend corrective actions to project and construction managers.
- Review and approve contractor pay applications, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
- Track and report on construction physical progress using Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Coordinate with contractors to collect and upload weekly progress data into project systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field — or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in project controls, with a strong focus on cost management and field operations.
- Familiarity with construction contracts and pay application processes.
- Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project controls teams, construction teams, and vendors.
- Willingness and ability to travel for on‑site assignments.
- Proficiency in project controls and scheduling software, including Oracle, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Eco Sys, Unifier, Synchro.
- Industry‑recognized certifications such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Risk Management Professional (RMP).
