Customer Service/Teller Position needed for NLR Bank. (2 Positions open)
Hours are Part time. 25-30 hours a week. 1-2 Saturdays a month (Saturday hours are 9am-12pm).
Will need prior cash handling or banking experience.
Handle customer transactions and provide basic banking services while ensuring accuracy and excellent customer service.
Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other transactions, while also identifying customer needs.
Key responsibilities include balancing cash drawers, verifying customer identification, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
May need to float to Little Rock location from time to time.
POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for a variety of member service activities associated with the operations area of the credit union. This position requires the ability to deal effectively with members, face to face, by phone, internet and in writing.
PRIMARY DUTIESHandles member inquiries, complaints, and questions. Determines whether supervisory input is required. Process withdrawals, funds transfers, allocations, etc. Handles member concerns in a variety of areas including account research, card issues, internet services, disputes, electronic services, etc.
Determines eligibility requests of potential member and forwards required paperwork for completion with related regulatory, advertising and promotional material. Invests funds from existing accounts to those investments as directed by the member.
- Receive checks and cash for deposits & payments to accounts, verify amounts, examine items for proper endorsement, and enter into computer records. Apply appropriate holds as needed.
- Cash checks, process withdrawals, wire funds, and pay out money after verification of signatures and member balances in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Promote and explain credit union services such as electronic services (internet banking, mobile app, remote deposit, video banking, card services), consumer loans, IRA’s, certificates, etc.
- Responsible for balancing cash drawer to computer. Report any discrepancies to the supervisory promptly.
- Ensures that the work area is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.
Education:
Minimum of 1 year experience or equivalent in Operations and/or New Accounts and Investments.
High School diploma or equivalent.
