Summary

CHENEGA TRI-SERVICES, LLC

THIS POSITION IS A 1099/INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR POSITION

The Physician shall provide personal services as a Fee Basis Provider (FBP), performing medical histories, physical examinations, and reviewing medical tests and documents related to consultations and histories.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct medical histories and physical examinations
  • Review required medical tests and documents related to consultations and histories
  • Secure thorough health histories from applicants and record findings
  • Assess applicant medical documentation and render medical opinions on medical fitness for programs
  • Apply accession medical standards to determine applicant qualifications
  • Become proficient in applying accession standards to assess military service suitability
  • Respect applicant dignity at all times
  • Follow IAW, Privacy Act, and HIPAA regulations
  • Participate in MEPS local medical peer reviews
  • Follow the "Red Carpet Treatment" philosophy
  • Comply with all installation policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Must be an MD or DO
  • Graduated from an LCME or COCA-accredited medical school
  • Completed an ACGME or AOA-accredited residency or provided direct patient care within the last three years
  • Foreign medical graduates must possess an ECFMG certification or Fifth Pathway
  • Hold an active, unrestricted medical license in the U.S. or territories
  • Minimum of one year of post-graduate training accredited by ACGME
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, including hands-on skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient in using electronic medical documentation, email, and internet for medical research
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Strong planning, judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Interpersonal skills and social sensitivity
  • Ability to complete Genesis training for medical documentation
  • Experience in collecting and communicating health histories and mental health screenings
  • Knowledge of diagnostic procedures across various medical fields
Physical Demands

Regularly sit, talk, hear, and perform motions with arms, wrists, hands, and fingers. Occasionally walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift/move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision.
