Summary ofJob Duties
The Department of Computer Science at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock has an opening for a ½-time Visiting Assistant Professor in Cybersecurity. The Department seeks applicants interested in joining an energetic, collaborative faculty and a growing department. This position has been created to bolster the teaching capacity and contribute to the Department’s initiatives in cybersecurity. A competitive salary is budgeted.
This position is governed by state and federal laws as well as agency/institution policy.
Required Education and/or
Experience:
- Ph.D. or a Ph.D. candidate, in a discipline deemed by the employer pertinent to cybersecurity. Applicable equivalencies may be considered.
Preferred Education and/or
Experience:
- Ph.D. in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or discipline pertinent to cybersecurity, and research experience in cybersecurity.
- Develop curriculum and new modes of instruction;
- Teach effectively in classroom and lab settings;
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate students;
- Perform other duties as needed in the department, college, and university.
- Work and educational experience are clearly predictive of a successful academic career in cybersecurity teaching and research.
Salary Information: $50,000
