Summary ofJob Duties
The College of Health Professions at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks applicants for a part-time faculty position in the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition located at the UAMS campus in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This is an opportunity to contribute to an established, high-quality program that enjoys strong institutional and community support. The Instructor will teach courses, coordinate supervised practice rotations, mentor students, and collaborate with faculty across campuses.
The faculty position is a 12-month non-tenure track position at the rank of instructor. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications. The Department of Dietetics and Nutrition houses two academic programs:
Master of Science Dietetics Internship (MSDI) and Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition (MSCN). The MSCN program is offered 100% online.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics required
- At least three (3) years of clinical experience
- Current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Certification
- Experience precepting dietetic supervised practice rotations
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to identify and solve problems
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of recent post-certification clinical experience
