Instructor – Rhetoric & Writing
University of Arkansas at Little Rock is a metropolitan research university providing innovative and flexible learning opportunities. The Department of Rhetoric & Writing invites applications for a full‑time, non‑tenure‑track Instructor position. The role may include teaching face‑to‑face and/or online courses in developmental, first‑year, and intermediate composition.

- Teach composition courses in‑person and online.
- Work positively with faculty, staff, students, and the community.
- Participate in departmental, university, and community service and governance, including service on the department's Composition Committee and in assessment and professional development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Master's degree in Rhetoric and Composition, Writing Studies, Technical Communication and/or Professional Writing, Creative Nonfiction, Public Administration, English, or a related discipline.
- Prior composition teaching experience with an emphasis on first‑year students.
- Experience teaching diverse populations of students.
- Advanced organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Professional writing experience.
- Online or hybrid teaching experience.
- College‑level teaching experience.
- Ability to teach composition courses face‑to‑face and online.
- Demonstrated commitment to student retention and success.
Salary: $68,000.00–$70,000.00. Benefits:
