What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Lead the development and improvement of educational programs and learning management systems
  • Oversee the effectiveness of traditional and computer-based learning programs to ensure alignment with quality metrics
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design training that meets regulatory and best practice standards
  • Manage fiscal responsibilities, including budget planning and resource allocation
  • Supervise certified Epic educators and specialized staff, fostering professional growth and accountability
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Master's Degree in Education, Health-related, Analytical fields, or similar
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in instructional design, educational outcomes assessment, or education technology
  • Proficient in education outcome assessment, evidence-based instructional design, and adult learning theory
  • Strong communication skills and proven leadership abilities
  • Understanding of IT components relevant to clinical education
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience as an educator in an academic medical center or academic setting
  • Demonstrated leadership in assessing educational outcomes and utilizing technology for improved learning efficiency
  • Certification in Epic Electronic Health Record application(s), including TED
  • Leadership experience with Epic Principal Trainers (UAMS Health Computer Application Training Specialists)
