Parent Support Mentor

The Parent Support Mentor is a grant-funded position. This position is located in Pulaski County. The Parent Support Mentor provides training activities and will be a part of a larger team within the county Women Infants & Children (WIC) office. This position will communicate with the grantor and community partners, assist with building training capacity, and collect data for program evaluation.

This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of the principles and practices of mathematics and statistics;
• Knowledge of the work-related subject areas;
• Knowledge of family health and child development;
• Knowledge of computers and software applications;
• Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information and reports;
• Ability to work as a part of a team;
• Ability to research and analyze related work program information;
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills;
• Ability to analyze financial records and prepare reports;
• Ability to develop, recommend, interpret, and apply policies and procedures;
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others;
• Must have good communication skills;
• Ability to travel occasionally, as needed;
• Ability to work a flexible schedule;
• Ability to work independently.

Salary Information: $36,000
