Your impact: you’ll work on a variety of projects related to data centers, including new builds, retrofits, colocations, and more. You’ll perform various aspects of structural engineering assignments, increasing your familiarity with design methods and tools. As a key asset, you’ll collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and designers on projects of different sizes, liaising with internal professionals and design departments for project delivery and coordinating designs with Jacobs offices both domestic and international.
You’ll also have opportunities to grow technically and professionally as you gain more experience and expand your leadership role within the organization.
Other key contributions include:
- Performing a variety of analysis.
- Creating computer models for structures.
- Performing calculations for member designs and foundations, material take‑offs for estimating, preparation of miscellaneous calculations, assisting with schedules, etc.

Base Pay Range$/yr - $/yr
Responsibilities- Perform analysis and calculations for structural design of data center structures.
- Develop computer models and perform member design calculations.
- Prepare material take‑offs, miscellaneous calculations, and assist with project schedules.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states.
- Knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station and S3D.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
- Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry‑relevant design codes and standards.
- Knowledge and application of Building Codes.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite software including MS Teams for remote coordination.
- Ability to travel to various client sites (approximately 10%–20% travel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science in Engineering.
- Experience with industrial metals projects, including casting and rolling operations or similar heavy industrial projects.
- Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations.

The base salary range for this position is $ to $. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
