We are currently searching for an experienced Bridge Project Engineer to support our West Gulf Region located in Little Rock, AR. To be considered, applicants must have at least a Professional Engineering Licensure and 5 years of bridge design experience.
What You’ll Be Doing- Perform or supervise calculations and analysis for designing bridge and transportation structures using various bridge design software programs.
- Perform or supervise load ratings on bridges of various types, sizes, and complexities.
- Review calculations and design details developed by others.
- Attend meetings with clients and other professionals and organizations.
- Develop solutions to challenges presented by the client within budget, schedule, and project constraints.
- Review construction related submittals.
- Organize and maintain project files.
- Supervise and mentor Structural EITs and interns.
- Assist with marketing bridge and structure design work.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Master of Engineering preferred but not required.
- Valid Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.).
- 5 to 9 years of engineering experience in bridge design.
- DOT experience strongly preferred.
- Skilled in the use of Open Roads Designer, Open Bridge Designer, STAAD, CSi Bridge, MIDAS, AASHTOWARE BrR, Mathcad.
- Technical expertise for layout & design of bridges and related highway structures.
- Familiarity with rehabilitation of existing bridges and highway structures.
- Knowledge of AASHTO and other pertinent bridge design specifications.
- Familiarity with DOT bridge standards and design manuals.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and post offer fit for duty evaluation if applicable.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR.
