Senior Telecommunications Engineer at Jacobs, responsible for technical design leadership of systems for data center buildings including structured cabling, wireless, audio visual, and low voltage systems.

• Lead BIM designers in preparation of engineering drawings.
• Create and modify DIV 27 specifications.
• Conduct site visits and review technical documents.
• Sign and seal telecommunications design packages.
• Mentor other team members.
• Collaborate with lead engineer and department manager to identify processes for department efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Communication Engineering from an ABET accredited college.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience designing or leading designs for Telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA, BICSI, NFPA 70 standards.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Experience in RFP response and quality assurance of telecommunications systems.
• Experience in startup and commissioning of telecommunications systems.
• PE license required; ability to obtain multiple PE licenses.

• 4 years telecommunications design experience in Data Centers.
• Experience with other low voltage systems: security, audio/visual, wireless.
• Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks.
• Experience with AIA or CSI specification writing.
• Credential as an RCDD.
