HDR Engineering is looking for a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our growing Arkansas team.
The primary duties of the Water/Wastewater Engineer include but are not limited to planning, directing and monitoring technical aspects of mid-sized pump station and pipeline design projects which contain a high degree of technical complexity.
In the role of Water/Wastewater Engineer, we'll count on you to:
- Take responsibility for performing complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
- Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed
- Involved with client relationships with specific focus on relaying HDR’s water and wastewater credentials
- Function as technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects as needed
- May be involved with coordinating staffing and workload of staff through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule
- May supervise small staff of professionals and technicians as needed
- Responsible for implementing QA/QC procedures and for the execution of training for personnel as established
- Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
- Perform other duties as needed
- MS
- A minimum of 3 years experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
- Previous experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects
Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example:
Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
