Water/Wastewater Engineer

HDR is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our growing Arkansas team. You will design, manage, and oversee mid‑size water and wastewater projects, ensuring compliance, quality, and client satisfaction.

• Plan, direct, and monitor technical aspects of mid‑size pump station and pipeline design projects.
• Perform complex assignments, exercising judgment in evaluation, selection, and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed.
• Engage client relationships, relaying HDR’s water and wastewater credentials.
• Act as technical specialist or project manager on mid‑size projects.
• Coordinate staffing and workload across project development to meet schedule.
• Supervise a small staff of professionals and technicians.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and conduct training for personnel.
• Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• MS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience designing plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience designing plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects.
• Professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng) recognized in the location of the position.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and with a project team.
