The Public Service Rate Case Analyst II conducts complex financial and economic analyses of utility rate cases for the Arkansas Public Service Commission. The position evaluates utility filings, develops analytical models, and assesses cost allocations to ensure proposed rates are fair and reasonable. The analyst prepares testimony, supports commission proceedings, and provides technical expertise to staff attorneys and expert witnesses throughout rate cases.
Keyqualifications
- At least five years of experience in rate analysis, financial analysis, economic forecasting, or related field
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, cost-of-service studies, and economic modeling
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, database management, and statistical analysis tools
- Understanding of public utility regulations, accounting principles, and economic forecasting
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey technical findings clearly
