This position is as an investigator within the Incidents and Accidents Unit (I&A) in DPSQA. The Unit is responsible for investigating reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation in long-term care facilities and home and community-based service providers. The position manages a caseload of investigations, conducts witness interviews, collects documentary evidence, and concludes investigations within statutory time frames. It involves reporting findings in the Enterprise Licensing System (ELS), Employee Clearance Registry (ECR), National Practitioner Database, and working with offender name placements on the Child Maltreatment and Adult Maltreatment Registries.

Responsibilities include evidence collection, witness interviews, and testifying during administrative hearings. The role also serves as a contact point for the public, provider community, DPSQA, and other state agencies.

• Valid Arkansas driver's license and ability to operate throughout the state
• Experience interviewing and conducting investigations
• Case management experience

• Three years’ experience investigating abuse, neglect, and exploitation allegations
• Three years’ experience preparing and presenting evidence and testimony in administrative hearings or court
• Experience developing and maintaining case management systems
• Ability to compile information into reports

Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing information, recommending corrective actions, and maintaining confidentiality. The investigator ensures investigations are conducted with integrity, adhering to legal and organizational standards. Tasks include planning investigations, collecting evidence, analyzing data, preparing reports, and collaborating with internal and external parties. The role requires maintaining confidentiality, staying updated on investigative techniques, and proposing process improvements.
