Acentra Health is looking for a Clinical Reviewer – Arkansas Behavioral Health License – PRN (Hybrid within Arkansas) to join our growing team.

Job Summary

The Behavioral Health Clinician/Clinical Reviewer provides comprehensive oversight and monitoring of behavioral health treatment for DYS youth. This role includes developing treatment recommendations, monitoring progress toward behavioral health goals, and making placement recommendations to ensure individualized care. The clinician works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support youth in achieving treatment objectives and improving overall well‑being.

Responsibilities
  • Review all historical clinical documents related to behavioral health treatment.
  • Complete face‑to‑face interviews with youth.
  • Interview family/guardian and other available parties to obtain psychosocial information.
  • Serve as the behavioral health representative on the multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Complete behavioral health treatment component of the youth's Master Treatment Plan, developing treatment recommendations, frequencies, duration, and measurable treatment goals and objectives.
  • Make recommendations for behavioral health treatment settings.
  • Update goals in collaboration with facility behavioral health service provider.
  • Make recommendations for discharge planning.
  • Responsible for competing and submitting assessment reviews within the respective timeline, adhering to quality benchmarks and contractual specifications, utilizing electronic utilization management system.


** This is a Hybrid position where you must reside and work in the state of Arkansas. **


** The scheduled Work Hours for this PRN role would be weekdays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Central. The schedule would be discussed during the interview process. **


** There is no required travel for this role. **

Qualifications

Required Qualifications /Experience
  • Hold an active, unrestricted Arkansas licensure in Social Work OR Counseling OR Psychology issued by the Arkansas Social Work Licensing Board OR Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy OR Arkansas Psychology Board in good standing, in one of the following:
    • LCSW – Licensed Clinical Social Worker
    • LMFT – Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
    • LPC – Licensed Professional Counselor
    • LPE‑I – Licensed Psychological Examiner‑Independent
  • A Behavioral Health Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a behavioral health setting, conducting utilization reviews or behavioral health case management.
  • Ability to handle HIPAA confidential information with discretion.
  • Skilled in interfacing with multiple providers across various settings.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Mental health assessment tools and treatment plans
    • Delivery of behavioral health services across acute inpatient, and outpatient home and community settings
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building rapport with physicians, behavioral health providers, and family members.
  • Highly responsible, self‑motivated, and detail‑oriented with strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Solid clinical skills for assessing services based on clinical record reviews.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications /Experience
  • Experience with Child and Adolescent Behavior.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Arkansas Medicaid behavioral health policies and procedures.
