Caregiver responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide companionship and assistance to clients to help them live independently
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed (e.g., dressing, grooming, mobility)
• Escort or assist with errands and transportation when required
• Communicate with supervisors and clients to ensure quality care

• Preferred: 1,000 hours of long-term care with geriatric or chronically ill persons
• Exceptions to this requirement are for recently licensed Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Personal Care Aide (PCA).
• Caregiving for a family member or for companionship and housekeeping services is acceptable.
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position.
• Must have reliable transportation; if transporting clients, must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Pass a criminal background check (national and state) and a drug screen.
• This role is classified as a safety-sensitive position and is subject to applicable state and federal regulations.
