Job Summary

Shift: 3 12‑hour days, Weekends Saturday - Monday. The Physical Therapist performs examinations, evaluations, establishes plans of care, daily treatment, documentation, coordination with interdisciplinary team, program improvement, clinical education, and customer service standards.

Responsibilities
  • Performs comprehensive examination of patients, completes evaluation, and formulates individualized plan of care.
  • Provides evidence‑based quality patient treatment, education, and monitors patient physiological status during sessions.
  • Completes accurate and thorough documentation in a timely manner following regulatory policies.
  • Submits accurate and complete charges and daily summary sheets.
  • Consistently meets departmental productivity target.
  • Responsive to needs/requests outside of direct patient care.
  • May include serving as a Clinical Instructor, providing presentations, serving on committees/teams, performing program development/projects, developing educational materials, providing education to coworker after attending continuing education that was supported by travel or educational leave, etc.
  • Adheres to UAMS/Department policy for attendance; reports for all scheduled shifts on time and completes shift duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated before 2002, Master’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated before 2016, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy or eligible for licensure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in Physical Therapy.
  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
  • Experience as a PT in an acute care setting.
  • Current AHA BLS (must obtain certification within 30 days of starting in this position).
