Clinical Staff - Medical Ancillary Support, Diagnostic Radiology Technologist.

Shift: Monday through Thursday 1:30 p.m.–12 a.m. (Evening Shift). Regular position at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
Qualified professionals will produce diagnostic radiographic images, supervise staff, and maintain patient safety and comfort.

• Graduated from an Associate's (2‑year) certificate program, certified by the ASRT in Radiology Technology
• Registered or eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Licensed or eligible for license by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology

• Operate and position radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images of the body, following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures by escorting patients to X‑ray rooms, providing verbal instructions, and assisting patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed.
• Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during scan.
• Serve as a back‑up for clinical team members, as needed, by controlling patient flow and triaging.
• Maintain working order of radiologic equipment, including reporting equipment malfunctions and scheduling regular maintenance.
• Review patient records and import external images into the picture archiving and communication system (PACS).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
