Job SummaryClinical Staff - Medical Ancillary Support, Diagnostic Radiology Technologist.
Shift: Monday through Thursday 1:30 p.m.–12 a.m. (Evening Shift). Regular position at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
Qualified professionals will produce diagnostic radiographic images, supervise staff, and maintain patient safety and comfort.
- Graduated from an Associate's (2‑year) certificate program, certified by the ASRT in Radiology Technology
- Registered or eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Licensed or eligible for license by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology
- Operate and position radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images of the body, following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures by escorting patients to X‑ray rooms, providing verbal instructions, and assisting patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed.
- Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during scan.
- Serve as a back‑up for clinical team members, as needed, by controlling patient flow and triaging.
- Maintain working order of radiologic equipment, including reporting equipment malfunctions and scheduling regular maintenance.
- Review patient records and import external images into the picture archiving and communication system (PACS).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
