Job Duties
The Audiologist will plan and conduct care, evaluation, and treatment for patients with hearing and balance problems, using advanced technology and procedures. The audiologist will determine the severity and cause of ear and hearing‑related pathologies and provide treatment options when applicable.
Qualifications- Doctor of Audiology (Au.
D.) - Experience working with adult patients
- Arkansas State license in Audiology, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑A)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain a professional image, handle stressful situations, and provide superior customer service.
- Experience in a hospital or Otolaryngology setting
- Experience with Cochlear Implant programs
- Conduct and interpret complete balance evaluations using Videonystagmography (VNG) and Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP).
- Provide diagnostic hearing evaluations: tympanometry, acoustic reflex testing, air and bone conduction threshold testing, and a battery of standard and specialized speech assessments.
- Complete specialized diagnostic assessments (e.g., aided threshold measures, AZ Bio sentence tests, CNC word tests in soundfield) and interpret outcomes for cochlear implant candidacy.
- Plan and coordinate hearing rehabilitation activities, including consultation, selection, and fitting of hearing aids, cochlear implants, bone‑anchored hearing aids, and assistive listening devices.
- Perform verification of amplification devices (e.g., Speech Mapping/Real‑Ear measurements).
- Provide device servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Complete accurate and thorough chart notes and dictation promptly.
- Provide patient education of procedures to be performed.
- Participate in ongoing hospital and clinical performance assessments and process improvement projects.
- Ensure departmental performance improvement and assessment.
- Create and revise work processes to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce waste.
- Other duties may be assigned.
44.00 USD Hourly
