Job Title:
Full‑Time Pharmacy Technician
Location:
Red River Pharmacy – Little Rock, AR
Red River Pharmacy in Little Rock is seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Full‑Time Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The Pharmacy Technician will support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment. Clean room experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists with preparing and dispensing prescription medications
- Accurately count, label, and package medications
- Enter and verify prescription and patient information in the pharmacy software system
- Communicate professionally with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers
- Maintain proper inventory levels; receive, stock, and rotate pharmaceutical products
- Follow all pharmacy, state, and federal regulations and company policies
- Support sterile and non‑sterile compounding activities as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas, including support of clean room procedures
- Assist with insurance claims processing and resolve basic billing issues
- Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacist or pharmacy manager
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current Pharmacy Technician license/registration in Arkansas (or ability to obtain)
- National certification (CPhT) preferred, or willingness to obtain within a specified time frame
- Clean room/sterile compounding experience preferred, but willing to train
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy software preferred
Full‑time position: schedule may include days, evenings, and/or weekends as needed.
