Under the direction of the health care provider, the Medical Assistant is responsible for delivering patient care that promotes safety and well‑being for all patients. The role involves the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, as well as clerical functions such as answering the phone, checking patients in and out, and scheduling follow‑up visits. The MA collaborates with other professionals to ensure effective patient care delivery and desired outcomes.

Responsible for providing patient care and supporting clinical operations within the office setting while maintaining patient safety and privacy.

• Check patients in upon arrival
• Check patients out
• Answer the telephone
• Receive payments
• Schedule follow‑up appointments
• Perform general patient care following established standards and procedures една
• Obtain and record vital signs, medications, allergies, and presenting problems
• Draw and collect blood samples per protocol
• Administer medications or vaccines orally, by injection, topically, rectally, ophthalmically, or inhalationly
• Perform routine tests such as EKGs
• Schedule and follow up on diagnostic testing
• Communicate test results and plan of care to patients by phone or mail as directed
• Prepare, clean, and sterilize instruments; maintain exam rooms and dispose of contaminated items per protocol
• Document patient plans, tests, and examination results in the medical record
• Escalate non‑routine issues to the practice manager or provider
• Ensure safety checklists and quality controls are completed Diving and protect privacy rights
• Perform other duties as assigned by the practice manager or provider

• High‑school diploma or equivalent required
nN ट्रेनferred to an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
• NHA Certification or EMT‑Basic
• BLS or ACLS required
• One year of Medical Assistant or EMT experience required
