Our client is seeking a highly hands‑on, entrepreneurial General Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operation of a small, remote boutique resort in Arkansas. This is a true operating role for a strong hospitality professional who takes ownership, leads from the front and is comfortable working independently without day‑to‑day owner oversight. This is for a highly respected independent private equity firm .compensation

..base salary is approximately USA 80,000 dollars gross plus standard benefits

• Assume full operational responsibility for the resort, ensuring consistently high standards of guest service, cleanliness, and property presentation.
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule and retain a dependable team across front desk, housekeeping and general property support.
• Build sufficient bench strength and cross‑training so the operation is never dependent on a single individual.
• Be highly visible and hands‑on, stepping into operational roles when required and leading by example.
• Establish effective operating procedures, staffing plans and service standards appropriate for a small independent resort.
• Manage day‑to‑day staffing, guest issues, vendor relationships, maintenance coordination and operational priorities.
• Monitor costs, productivity, guest satisfaction and overall property performance.
• Work closely with ownership on performance and strategic matters while maintaining complete responsibility for daily operations.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Hotel/Resort General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Rooms Manager or Operations Manager; boutique, independent or resort experience strongly preferred.
• A hands‑on operator who is comfortable doing whatever is required to keep the property running at a high standard.
• Proven ability to recruit, develop and manage a small hospitality team
  , including creating reliable backup coverage.
• Highly self‑directed, accountable and capable of making sound decisions without close supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance guest service, staffing and operational priorities simultaneously.
• Comfortable working weekends and holidays, with regular days off during the week.
• Willing and able to relocate to the property and live on‑site

• Comfortable living and working in a small, rural tourist community
  ; previous experience in a small‑town or resort environment is a strong advantage.
• Practical, resourceful and resilient, with a genuine willingness to roll up their sleeves and solve problems.
• Strong communication skills, mature judgement and a service‑oriented leadership style.
