Job Description & How to Apply Below

The People & Operations Manager leads Bravere’s human resources function across the company and supported dental practices while providing flexible operational support in a growing organization. This role is responsible for building, managing, and executing core HR processes—payroll, benefits, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance—ensuring that team members across Bravere feel supported, informed, and set up for success.

Working closely with the COO and cross-functional partners, this role helps establish scalable people systems and operational infrastructure that support Bravere’s mission-driven growth. The position blends hands‑on HR execution with adaptable operational support, requiring someone who is comfortable wearing multiple hats while building durable systems for the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for Bravere corporate employees and supported dental practices.
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, HRIS administration, and policy support.
  • Coordinate payroll processes and resolve payroll-related issues in partnership with external vendors.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, vendor coordination, and employee education.
  • Support employee relations matters by providing guidance to leaders and practice managers while escalating complex issues appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, including FMLA coordination where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate HR reporting, organizational charts, audits, and documentation.
  • Support leaders and practice managers with practical guidance, tools, and resources related to performance management, documentation, and navigating challenging employee conversations.
Talent Support & People Experience
  • Support recruiting and hiring processes, including job postings, candidate coordination, and onboarding readiness.
  • Help deliver a consistent, welcoming onboarding experience across corporate and practice environments.
  • Assist with employee engagement, recognition, and culture‑building initiatives aligned with Bravere’s values.
  • Support internal communications related to HR programs, benefits, and people‑related updates.
  • Contribute to wellness and employee experience initiatives that promote sustainability and retention.
Operational & Organizational Support
  • Provide general operational support across Bravere as needed, including administrative, coordination, and project‑based work.
  • Support internal documentation, process improvement, and system organization as the company scales.
  • Coordinate with vendors across HR, payroll, benefits, IT, and office operations.
  • Assist leadership with special initiatives, cross‑functional projects, and operational problem‑solving.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency without adding unnecessary complexity.
Building Bravere’s People Infrastructure
  • Help design and evolve HR policies, procedures, and handbooks to support a growing, multi‑site organization.
  • Bring Bravere’s values to life through fair, consistent, and thoughtful people practices.
  • Balance structure and flexibility—building systems that support growth while respecting the realities of dental practice environments.
  • Contribute to shaping Bravere’s long‑term people and operations roadmap.
Minimum Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Four (4) to seven (7+) years of experience in human resources, people operations, or HR generalist roles.
  • Hands‑on experience with payroll coordination, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and follow‑through.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Comfort working independently in a fast‑paced, evolving organization.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting multi‑location organizations or professional services environments.
  • Experience working with or supporting healthcare or dental practices.
  • SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, PHR, or similar certification.
  • Experience in small or high‑growth organizations where roles evolve over time.

May be available based on performance and organizational growth milestones.
  • Work Schedule:
