Legal Assistant - Judicial Foreclosure

Salary: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Draft legal documents utilized in judicial court actions; file legal pleadings with the Court; assist attorneys with service of process of legal pleadings; correspond with debtors and firm clients through telephone and written communication; respond to client inquiries and provide information to clients regarding the judicial process; accurate and timely entry of data in the firm’s case management system; access client websites to request documents, upload documents and update the client’s website with accurate information regarding case status and timeline.

  • Answer inquiries via telephone or email, responding in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to client inquiries.
  • Ensure all required information is properly entered into the firm’s case management system and client websites in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Draft correspondence and pleadings used in the judicial foreclosure; ensure accuracy of the information contained in the legal documents.
  • Identify and request missing documents and/or data from the client needed for the judicial action.
  • Perform all other duties as requested.
Required Skills / Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to accurately enter data and draft documents in a high-volume environment.
  • Must be PC literate, skilled in MS Office, and able to adapt to a variety of database systems.
  • Must exhibit professional communication skills (verbal and written).
Preferred Skills / Experience
  • Experience with Lexis Nexis Accurint.
  • Experience with ARCourts/AOC Court Connect.
  • Experience in real estate title or real estate law.
  • Experience with Arkansas Judiciary Electronic Filing/eFlex.
